How to use/Provide functions
The Proself area is assigned as a network drive (N:) on the computers in each PC lab.
Data stored on the network drive (N:) in the PC lab can be accessed from outside the university via Proself.
[Upload/download] function
You can save (upload) files to Proself via the Internet. You can also obtain (download) files from Proself. Since the N drive of the PC lab and Proself share the same save destination, you can do things like "save the report you are writing in the PC lab to the N drive and continue writing it at home."
[Web Publishing] Function
Files saved in Proself can be sent to others via the internet. This can be sent to both on-campus users and those outside the university. You can set a password and expiration date for downloading, and then send the other party the "download URL" and "password." This is useful when sending large files that are difficult to handle via email.
[Specify receiving folder] function
You can receive files from other users via the Internet. Not only users on campus, but also those outside the university can receive files. You can use this service by setting an upload password and expiration date, and informing the other party of the "upload URL" and "password." This is useful when receiving large files that are difficult to handle by email.
[Web publishing email authentication] function
This is a method to transfer files containing confidential information by email using the email authentication function of the Web publishing function. This is equivalent to the function commonly known as PPAP.
